BASOFIL® heat and
flame resistant fiber is an innovative textile fiber based on
BASF's patented melamine technology. BASOFIL® fiber can
be used in a variety of heat-blocking applications ranging from
protective clothing for firefighters and flame resistant workwear
to FR barriers for home furnishings. |

| PBI®
|
Polybenzimidazole
(PBI®) is a high performance polymer fiber.
PBI® was first discovered in the 1950s. In the 1960s, Celanese
developed a dry spinning and polymerization process for a high
temperature resistant PBI® polymer. Following a fire in
an Apollo spaceship in 1967, NASA cooperated with Celanese to
develop PBI® textiles. The fibers were launched in 1983. |

PANOX®

fibers. As an oxidized, thermally stabilized polyacrylonitrile

Nomex® and Proban outer shells to produce the desired TPP
to meet SFI classifications. Draper’s stitchbonded fabrics
breathe well and wick away moisture from the body to help keep
the wearer cooler in high temperature situations.

All of our fabrics are available with a FR face coating, which
dramatically reduces pilling and increases dimensional stability
of the fabric. For race suit manufacturers, our stitchbonded
material is very easy to cut and sew and forms well in tight
areas such as racing shoes.
